Send me an email.  Please do not provide any significant details about your child, any mental health diagnosis, or other confidential information.  But email me to get connected with me about what service you need or your questions.  I will schedule a time for us to connect in a more secure manner.

OPTION 2:  CALL ME

**The best first step, but often the most challenging way

While I love to answer your questions over the phone, it can be difficult to coordinate our schedules to find the time to talk.  The game of phone tag can be very frustrating for both of us.   You can call me to discuss your needs and schedule an appointment.  If I am in a session or a consultation, please leave a detailed voice message for me.  This is a secure and confidential voice mail, so you can leave a little more detailed information.

 If you want to schedule a specific time to chat for a few minutes, you can do so here.  Quick calls are free of charge; however, if your question or concern requires more than 15 minutes of time, you will be encouraged to schedule an appointment or a more formal consultation call.

OPTION 3: COME IN AND SIT DOWN

**Recommended method that gets the best results

If you know that you are ready to get started, then schedule an appointment right away.  My team will send you the information you need before your first appointment.  This includes parking information and required forms and documents.  For mental health professionals or clients outside of Hawaii, our virtual sit-down will take place via secure video conferencing.  The instructions are part of  the scheduling process.

A few notes about availability:

  • I am available Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Hawaii Time (I have 3 children under 5 and devote the rest of those hours to them!)
  • I make every effort to return phone calls within 48 hours (and you may hear from a member of my team first)
  • I do not communicate about your therapy services via email (aside from your initial request) unless we have specifically discussed this as part of your treatment plan.  For divorced parents of child clients or for couples, any email that you send to me will be forwarded to the other party and included as part of the treatment record.  I will not respond to ANY email that is negative or accusatory about the other party.

But before you do:  A few things to know

  • I do not accept friend requests from any past or current therapy clients (this includes children, parents, caregivers, etc).  Please do not send me personal friend requests.  This is a professional ethical standard that protects your PRIVACY and the boundaries in our work together so that you are always in control of what you share with me. 
  • Social media is NOT CONFIDENTIAL.  Even without a "friend relationship" on social media, it is possible that you could reveal  information about your status as a therapy client.  I will never acknowledge or confirm our connection in social media.  I do not actively seek information about my clients through social media channels.  
  • Social media accounts DO NOT provide therapy services.  Information shared is intended as general educational information, motivational or related to products I love. I am very rarely promoting affiliate products (those in which I get paid if you make a purchase, but will clearly tell you if that is the case).  Typically, I just share products that I love because I am a happy customer.  You are under no obligation to purchase any products and may have a different experience with any resources that I share. 
  • Following me on social media has no impact on the fees you pay, the availability of services, or the quality of services that you receive.  You are free to unsubscribe or unfollow at any time. 
  • Please do not contact me through social media regarding your therapy services or treatment plan.  If you are in need of service, please call the office or go online to schedule an appointment.  If you have a need outside of normal business hours, please use good judgement and seek emergency care.
